Cooperation between Thailand and Bhutan By applying the philosophy of sufficiency economy and the concept of community projects OTOP innovation of Thailand has been applied in one project that TICA initiated "Agricultural Promotion Project By developing OGOP goods and products in the Kingdom of Bhutan" in order to increase the gross happiness of the people of Bhutan even more. Department of International Cooperation or TICA under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Department of Community Development and The Queen's Project Office (QPO) of the Kingdom of Bhutan The Thai government has brought in experts who have a good understanding of community development methods and One Tambon One Product (OTOP) to join in passing on knowledge and experience.
Product development to implement agricultural promotion projects By developing Email Data OGOP (One Gewog One Product) products and products in the Kingdom of Bhutan, Phase 1, a 3-year plan (between 2016 - 2018) that focuses on developing communities to be strong and sustainable by embracing the philosophy of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great has been published and applied to communities in Bhutan. Including designing products to be unique. and promotion of domestic marketing and export of OGOP products, which is the successful outcome of this project. It is to make Bhutan's farmers have increased productivity and income from participating in the project. From the success of the OGOP project, the second phase was created, focusing on the development of community products. and the promotion of community cultural tourism in line with the OTOP Thai Innovation Community Project.
In this second phase, there are 6 villages interested in participating in the project, including Uesu Gewong Village, Haa Town, Gantey - Phobji Village, Wandue Phodrang Village. Drakten Gewong, Trongsa Town, Khoma Village, Lhuntse Town, Yangtse Gewong Village, Trashi Yangtse Town, and Patshaling Gewong Village, Tsirang Town. Ms. Phattharat Hongthong, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, spoke about TICA's work, which is based on development taking into account Basic needs and participation of Bhutan To feel ownership of the various projects that TICA has initiated and to provide cooperation that has contributed to Bhutan being able to stand on its own. TICA has contributed to development in two areas: infrastructure development and Develop human resources, which TICA places great importance on the development of human resources or personnel. In providing knowledge and understanding through training or further study in various fields of study in Thailand. Organizing a workshop between Thailand and Bhutan to expand the OGOP project, Phase 2, jointly planning the OGOP project, 1 - 3 year plan. TICA has invited experts in community development and OTOP products.
